Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Spectreviews, LLC ("Spectreviews," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

2. The Service

Spectreviews provides software that processes home inspection reports (PDFs) using artificial intelligence to generate narrated video summaries, written summaries, repair estimates, and related collaboration tools. Output is generated automatically and is intended as a communication aid — not a substitute for professional inspection, engineering, legal, or contractor judgment.

3. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

  • Free Trial. New accounts may receive a limited free trial as described on our pricing page. Trials expire automatically and do not renew.
  • Paid Plans. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor (Stripe). Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide refunds for partial months unless required by law.
  • Price Changes. We may change pricing on prospective billing cycles with reasonable notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content you do not have the right to share, including reports containing third-party confidential information without authorization.
  • Use the Service to violate any law or to infringe the rights of others.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to interfere with the Service's normal operation.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent.
  • Upload malware, illegal content, or content that is defamatory, harassing, or harmful.

5. Your Content

You retain all ownership rights in the inspection reports, comments, branding assets, and other materials you upload or create through the Service ("Your Content"). You grant Spectreviews a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service for you.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to upload Your Content and to grant the license above, and that Your Content does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.

6. AI-Generated Output

The Service uses third-party AI models to generate summaries, narration, repair estimates, and other output. AI output may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before relying on it or sharing it with clients. Repair-cost figures are estimates only and are not a substitute for licensed contractor quotes.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and templates, is owned by Spectreviews and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including but not limited to Google Cloud, Firebase, Stripe, OpenAI, and voice-synthesis providers) to deliver functionality. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI-GENERATED OUTPUT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPECTREVIEWS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, GOODWILL, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Spectreviews harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of the rights of any third party.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or by posting an in-app notice). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.
